Ok!! So when I walk into a bbq restaurant I would expect the nice aroma of meats smoking. That's not the case here at Woodys. I order the trio to try different meats and it was all super dry, no smoke ring. The brisket tasted like a piece of roast with no smoke flavor or ring let alone absolutely no seasoning. The chicken well have a good drink to help with how dry it was, again no smoke or season. The pulled pork looked like a pile of mush. The sides they all are canned. Nothing fresh! It honestly didnt taste like anything was smoked at all mostly in heating cabinets. This was my first and last time.
I will say the staff was great at welcoming but it doesnt help with the food. -

Finally, we get to try Woody's in Ft. Myers and it was great.
Upon entering, the restaurant is clean and modern. We went about an hour before closing and it was not busy. You can't help but noticing the pies by the door....so tempting.
We decided to place 2 orders of brisket. We had a choice of sliced or chopped; we ordered it both ways. For an additional $5, we ordered 1/2 rack of ribs. Great deal!
Overall, the food was really good. We haven't found good brisket in Ft. Myers yet (at least within a 20 mile radius) so we were happy. Can't wait to come back. -

Woody's Bar BQ open in our neighborhood Crossroad Publix shopping mall about two weeks ago. As I recalled, there was a Woody's at the now Che Tito's Steakhouse at North Fort Myers. Their BBQ ribs there were pretty good years ago!
We walked in to sample their BBQ during lunch to see if they retained their old standard? I tried their half rack of signature baby back ribs with coleslaw and black-eye peas. Wife opted for smoked Texas brisket, smoked turkey breast with Mac & Cheese and coleslaw. The baby back ribs topped with a slice of fried onion are tasty and no sauces are needed. Garlic toast or Texas toast were served with both orders. Half of rack of ribs is a perfect size for lunch. The smoked turkey and brisket are tender and a little sauce of Southern Sweet and Tangy Mustard were used to enhance the flavor!
A small selection of draft beers and wines are available!
The Sky High Pie and Banana pudding were sitting on the show case. We opted to skip their desert because Mac & Cheese and black-eye peas!
The staff is friendly and professional. The price are reasonable.
Yes, we are a fan of Woody's and will return for more of baby back ribs, Memphis spare ribs, pulled pork and perhaps fried catfish and potachos! -

Tasty BBQ, good lunch specials. Place was dead hope it is successful. Good sauces to choose from. Lehigh and surrounding area should check this place out. Was good.
